Bethlehem UMC's purpose is to love persons into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Vision
Bethlehem UMC is honored to be one of the oldest churches in Hamilton County. We began 180 years ago and moved to our current location in 1912. We are well established in this community! With this solid foundation, we plan to be here for all who want to love Christ for many years to come.
We believe we are called to provide a home of faith and friendship for those who are seeking a church family with Jesus Christ at the center. We care for each other and for the world around us. All are welcomed warmly and encouraged to participate in our church events as a way to enjoy each other’s fellowship. Our weekly family-friendly services offer traditional hymns and Methodism teachings. We welcome you to experience Christ's love here at Bethlehem United Methodist Church.

​Hi, I’m Troy and I’m excited to be worshipping with you on Sunday mornings! I was asked if I would share a few things about myself, so here goes.

I am Canadian. That always seems to be the thing people remember me by, probably because there aren’t a lot of Canadians around here. And yes, that I means I fit all the stereotypes. I watch a lot of hockey. I eat poutine. Sometimes the accent even slips out and I say things like “a-boot” in-stead of about. But I have been here in the States for 23 years and am happy to be where God wants me to be.
I like to write. I used to write for an internationally published youth minis-try magazine and have either written or contributed to a few books. A lot of that comes from reading, especially really old books.
I love to lead worship. Some of you heard that at Fishers UMC. Every-thing you heard was played by me (some had to be done beforehand, I can’t play all the instruments at once), but I do love music and there are few things that make my heart happier than hearing people sing out to God heartfelt prayers of praise.

But what I really love more than any of that is helping people grow closer to Jesus. Whether that’s someone who knows nothing about Christ being introduced to Him or someone who has been in a relationship with Jesus for eighty years seeing a piece of Scripture in a new way and deepening their faith in Him, I love it when a person gets closer to Jesus, myself in-cluded. Hopefully we’ll get to do that together.nd his wife, Lorie, & daughter, Leah, feel our warm Bethlehem welcome!
